I don't know about you, but no one EVER showed me how to style my hair. I have had a LOT of trial and error, and thank GOD Facebook, Instagram, and SnapChat were NOT all the rage when I was in high school!
I was actually a toe head until I was 16 or 17, check out my super sweet Hawaiian print romper! Yup, my parents were rad and got us a brother-sister photo shoot at the local Sears...sigh. Side note: I clearly had no say in whether I had to wear tights or not (they were, and still are, the WORST!). Not to mention I went super old man style with tights and sandals...I'm face-palming as I type this...such a faux pas.
But that is neither here nor there, I've recently embraced my natural color...but for some reason have yet to embrace its natural texture. Now my hair is very similar to SJP's in Sex and the City during her "Goodbye Big" era. Same texture, WAY less thick.
This is a quick and easy way to get fabulous beach waves in 10 minutes or less with tools and products that won't break the bank!
1) I have loose curls naturally, so I have to to a quick 5-minute blow out before I start curling my hair. I have used the same hair dryer for 7 years now, and this baby keeps plugging away!
2) Style setting Spray or Hairspray, I am in love with this high shine hairspray! It's the perfect combination of shine and hold. Enough to keep your hair voluminous all day, and not sticky or crunchy, so you can run your fingers through it with ease.
